My Story

Pastor Raymond Davis Jr. was born in Detroit, Michigan, and is the son of the late Evangelist Ernestine Davis and Raymond Davis Sr. He is the sixth of seven siblings. Raymond was raised in the church all of his life and accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Bishop John Kerr at Neopolitan Spiritual Church. He was consecrated by Bishop Kevin Linson (his brother) to preach at the age of 14 and later licensed under the Chicago River Primitive Baptist Association.

As a preacher’s kid with a Spiritual church upbringing, he had a profound love for music and good preaching. As a result, he has cultivated the anointing of God to play the organ/keyboard that will destroy yokes and pull down strongholds and the anointing to preach so people are encouraged, their lives are changed and souls are saved.

Raymond began his seminary journey at Detroit Bible Institute where he received several certifications. He received his Associate's Degree in Christian Leadership and is now enrolled in Ohio Christian University to obtain a Bachelor Degree in Human Services. Raymond has such a caring heart that he started serving and helping his father-in-law, Pastor Walter L. Harris, whenever he was asked. He served as a musician, teacher, preacher, and driver. In 2012, Raymond officially joined St. Peter's Primitive Baptist Church under his father-in-love. He continued in his duties, but also started an annual youth explosion, a street ministry, became the leader of minister staff, then as the Assistant Pastor. In December 2015, PastorHarris retired and recommended Raymond to take over as pastor. The church voted and it was a unanimous decision for Raymond to become the new Pastor of, what is now named St.Peter's Church.

Pastor Ray is the husband of 1 wife, Danielle; father of three: Rayven, Raymond III, and Rayne; and a friend to many. One of his favorite quotes is, “Yesterday is the tomb of time, Tomorrow is the womb of time, but only, Right Now is yours”. Out of all the titles he can be given or all the

names he can be called, his favorite is SERVANT.
